Wedding of Linda & Daniel - The Wedding of The Year @ 12 Sept 2010

I was honored to be able to plan Linda and Daniel's Wedding, They got  my contact from the hotel and they called  me when I was abroad, so I asked my assistant Sylvia to return her call. According to Linda, I was the most expensive planner that she contacted so far, but was lucky enough to be her final selection. I was glad that I was able to impress her and I did explain to her that we do not take commission from vendors, all the "commission" would be converted to discount for them, hence our fees are slightly higher  :)

The  planning took about 3 months after they engaged us, not a lot of time left, we have to come up with a proposal for them. The initial theme was High Fashion + Fairytale, Channel & Hello Kitty inspired. After about 1 month, we decided to change to a new theme, the time is running and we have to act fast. The new theme  - Chinoiserie.  French term describing European interpretation of Chinese Style from the 17th and 18th centuries, reflects China's influence as a world power and Westerners' fascination with the country.   This theme was definitely a better choice and at least I personally feel that it was more suitable for them.

After the theme was finalised, we have to source for various vendors. This is where Gown (Designer Bridal Room), florist (Garden of Senses), lighting (Vibrant Productions), photographer (The Photoz), videographer (Filming Art), makeup artist (Geraldine Loh), entertainer (Joanne-solo performance & Mosaic - Liveband), emcee (Chui Ling), cake (delectable), Guest house (Terasek Brickhouse) etc came in. We have to start to liase with them on the theme and make sure that everything runs accordingly.

Time flies, it was Linda and Daniel's Big Day, the morning ceremony went very well, all the 9 bridesmaid wore pink, and the 9 groomsmen wore red Chinese top. "Torturing" games were designed by the bridesmaid lasted about an hour, this included asking 1 of the groomsman to enter the pool to get the key to open the glass door. The ceremony ends at about 1pm at Daniel's place.

The wedding reception was held at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, the reception started 1/2 hour later than what we scheduled, which is quite normal for a Chinese Wedding. I was pleased to received a lot of compliments on the lighting. decor, sound system and the whole coordination.  Most importantly, both Linda and Daniel enjoyed the wedding and appreciated our service. :) They are now my friends rather than just client. Human being is just weird, do not mind giving more if he/she enjoyed or happy doing it hahaha.... if you know what I mean. :)
