Interviews with Sin Chew Jit Poh (星洲日報) and BFM 89.9 The Business Station

Today was my busy day, interview with Sin Chew Jit Poh (星洲日報) that lasted nearly 2.5 hours in the morning. It was an interesting "discussion", as I have shared a lot of my experience both on wedding planning and WBMS course that I am currently offering with Kha Mun - the reporter. She will also be sitting in one of our practical session on Making of Bridal Bouquet, looking forward to her write up.

In the afternoon, I had another interview  with Freda Liu from BFM 89.9 The Business Station, this is a pre-recorded session. "Up the Ante" or back to our show they called it. In this session, they usually invite previous guests to talk about the business. They are interested in our business development and wonder if there is one particular field we would like to improve on, they offer us to be paired up with a business consultant who will advice us on this particular issue (HR? Ad and Promo? Marketing?).

In this session, they paired us with a senior consultant - Jacqueline Arnold from Kim Chew Communications. We discussed about how to raise the awareness of people actually need a wedding planner instead of just wanting one and also how to get more students for the WBMS course that I am currently offering. Jacqueline had given me lots of useful suggestions. I would not want to say much here, lets wait till the interview is on air. :)

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my PR Consultants Shee Pinn & Rachel for their help and also to all that given me supports and courages for the interviews :)

Sarah's 21st Birthday Bash @16 June 2010

Sarah's 21st Birthday Bash in a Karaoke at the One Utama. The Cup Cakes was specially designed and made by Tang, nice to look at and yummy when you eat :) I do not have the close-up photos of the cakes here, it was so nicely done, there are little flowers and butterflies sitting on the cakes.

It was indeed an enjoyable night... I am sure Sarah had a good time. This again was a gathering initiated by all in the 4th intakes... Thats the way.... keep it up :)

Invited Speaker - Keith Kee (7 June 2010) on Bridal Makeup for Students enrolled for the WB Course Taught in Class

Another succesful session given by Keith Kee at ADAMAS School of Weddings. He started the session with the discussion of the questionnaires for Lecture 13 on Bridal Fashion he taught on 10 May 2010. The students particlipated very well, some of them even draw the different designs for the gown, I was quite surprise on how good they could actually draw :)

After the discussion, Keith Kee started on the demonstration on Bridal Makeup. The students really had a good time attending. Keith Kee demonstrated two different types of bridal makeup, one for the Morning Ceremony and the other one for the Night Reception. Thanks to Priscilla and Sarah for being the model.

Short video clip on Course Preview for WBMS Course for Wedding Planners - 27 March 2010

A Beautiful windmill will need wind to make it turn,
but the wind does not always exist.
It's similar to opportunity in life,
it will just go past you without even you noticing.

一个美丽的风车,
如果要转动起来就必须依靠风,
但是风不是时时刻刻都有。
它就象人生的机遇,
稍从即逝

The Course Preview for WBMS Wedding Planner Certification Programme on the 27 March 2010 was very successfully held at ADAMAS School of Wedding with the theme - Windmill of Opportunity (风车机遇) stated as above.

Dinner at Taylor College (Truffles) - hangout with the students from the 4th intake

Dinner at Taylor College (Truffles) - cooked, served by the students taking up the Hotel Management Course at Taylor College. The food was not extraordinary, but it was indeed a good gathering. Initiated by Priscilla - 4th intake student who used to take up this course at Taylor College, she did her final year at Switzerland. Well done Pris and lets do it more often :)
