Trip to Richmond

Today my flight was at 7:25am to Richmond, Virginia it will be an 1 hr flight from Knoxville to Atlanta, another 2hrs to Richmond. Gary Wright (the CEO of Weddings Beautiful Worldwide, WBW, National Bridal) and Nancy Tucker (the president of WBW) were waiting for me at the gate when I arrived. The feeling was good to see them for the 1st time after so long. :) Gary drove us to the Jefferson, the only 5 star hotel in Richmond. Since 1895, The Jefferson Hotel has been recognized by discerning travelers as Richmond's grandest hotel and one of the finest in America. Known for its genuinely friendly service, luxurious guestrooms, breathtaking architecture and elegant décor, The Jefferson Hotel is reminiscent of a more gracious era. The Jefferson Hotel has also been recognized as Richmond’s premier venue for elegant weddings, flawless meetings and conventions and the city’s most well attended charity and social functions.
The outlook of the hotel.

From the left Aston (PIC from the hotel), Nancy (President of Weddings Beautiful Worldwide) & me.

Gary (CEO of Weddings Beautiful Worldwide) & me.

I was glad that Gary drove us there, Aston, the PIC explained to us while showing us around the hotel. She is so professional. I was very impressed with the facility and the differences that exist in other cultural wedding traditions.

After the visit we had lunch at the CCV Westhampton, which was again another beautiful venue for wedding, a golf club. :) after lunch we went for a walk, the function rooms were very nice for wedding.

After the visits we finally reached the office to view the two short classics that they got from Video Works...Final Speech.. and.Gary's interview on CNBC on " How To Succeed in Wedding Business". Gary is a brilliant speaker, he had spoken so well with no preparation ahead. I really out to learned from him. I have also seen the DVD prepared by Nancy on different customs and traditions, this will ease my teaching as I could show the students video on this as I have a hard time finding them on the web. :)

From the left. Lynda, Peggy, me, Nancy & Gary.

Nancy dropped me at the airport at about 5pm to catch the flight back to Knoxville. My trip to Richmond, although it was only about 5hrs but it was so interesting and informative. I am so honored to be invited to Richmond and to finally met up with Gary, Nancy, Lynda, Peggy & Bryan. :) A very fruitful trip.
