Day 3 - Event Solutions Conference & Tradeshow 2010

Seminar started at 7am, attended the talk by David Fischette, President/CEO, GO West Events & Multimedia on "Evolution of the Event Professional". He shared his experience with us, he told us how his business evolve from being a musician in 1980s to an event planner. How he managed to go through the economic crisis, he actually had his highest revenue during the down time, how he did it. He emphasized that "Nobody will buy from you when you are desperate", which is so true. He also explained to us on the importance of technology by quoting some examples. He ended his talk with "What happens in Vegas, Stays on Facebook, Twitter & YouTube".

After the class, I took the free shuttle to the tradeshow as I wanted to see the Tabletop Competition, and also to check whether I have missed out anything the day before, as the trade show was so big. Photos below were all the tabletop setup by the contestant, the photos in the middle was the winner - "VINO CELEBRANDO". I took photos & video to ensure that I capture all the details, I am always impressed with their ideas.

Besides the tabletop competition, there were also three displays of the tabletop by 3 experts as shown below:

The Closing Ceremony started at 6pm by Mike Roman, the winner of the tabletop was announced, Lucky Draws prizes were given as well.
